Sri Maha Mariamman Temple, also known as Maha Uma Devi Temple in Silom, known as ''Wat Khaek'' (วัดแขก, meaning the "Indian temple" in Thai), 'Khaek' being a generic term used for "people ofTamil nadu Indian origin" in Thai and also meaning "Guests temple", is a South Indian architecture style[TAMIL [Hindu temple]] in Bangkok, Thailand. It was built in 1879 by Vaithi Padayatchi, a Hindu, a Tamil immigrant.〔 〕 ==Location== Maha Mariamman Temple is the main Tamil Hindu temple in Thailand which is located at the corner of Pan Road and Silom Road (ถนนสีลม), a narrow lane which has is a number of kiosks selling saffron-coloured marigold flower garlands for worshipers.
